DNA Economy
Evolve a Cell runs on one currency: DNA. You earn it by eating, spend it on levels and parts, and carry some of it forward through rebirths. There's no trading, so the only “prices” are DNA costs in the editor and Robux in the shop.
Earning DNA
| Source | Notes |
|---|---|
| Plants & meat | The baseline. Your mouth decides which counts. |
| Killing cells | Big chunks, especially from other players. |
| Events | Feeding Frenzy, Red Tide carcasses, meteor shower drops. |
| Gold sugar / shiny food | Bonus food worth a detour. |
| Playtime rewards | Free DNA for staying online (60 DNA at 3 minutes in one video). |
| Season pass (free track) | Claim it from the rewards menu. |
| Robux | Direct packs and 2x DNA. See the shop. |
Spending DNA
| On | Notes |
|---|---|
| Leveling up | Filling the bar gives you a card pick. |
| Placing parts | Every part costs DNA in the editor (e.g. Tentacle ~30, Leech Mouth ~22). |
| Stage progress | Late stages need hundreds of DNA (~300 more for the last push to stage 7). |
What carries over
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Death → Descend | Continue your lineage. Some progress kept. |
| Death → Start over | Clean slate. |
| Rebirth | Back to stage 1. Skill tree kept; points earned. The Rebirth Savings node keeps more DNA. |
